Oh my. Let me tell you, nothing makes me hit the online shops quite like being in bed sick for a week.
My bank account is sincerely relieved that I’m almost back to normal now! I’ve listed everything I purchased, and have shown the items I’ve returned. I hope this will be helpful and hopefully you can avoid the same shopping issues! Let me show you what I’ve bought over the last week or two, and as always, you can check it out in the video below too.
Off-white culotte jeans – I’ve since returned these and exchanged them for this pair. I was really looking for white jeans, not off-white, so it made sense just to get the right ones. Both are photographed below.
Acetate clips – Super cute and very affordable. I’ve been wearing them a lot since I bought them, more than I expected to to be honest! Great for making it look like you’ve made an effort with your hair when you definitely have not (me to a T).
Leopard & red scarf – I’ve been on the look out for a scarf like this ever since I lost my old version. You just can’t beat an all black outfit with a pop of leopard and red in my opinion. In the video you’ll see just how long I’ve been a fan of this look!
Black sandals – a practical, versatile, simple shoe. Sometimes keeping things simple is best. Most of my sandals are actually pops of colour, so adding these black ones to my wardrobe makes a lot of sense for the woman who lives in all black outfits.
Black bandeau swimsuit – this was a fail and promptly returned. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not look like a strung up piece of ham in a bathing suit. Such a pity, as the plain black bandeau look was what I was looking for.
Mustard polka Alice band – yeah. These aren’t for me. I know I want to try make a little more effort with my hair, but a mustard polka Alice band is not my way to do it. This version is sold out, but I’ve linked a similar version.
White low back bodysuit – also returned. The material is very thin and a bit too transparent for my liking. Ideal world it would have been a slightly heavier fabric. I also thing it was a little baggy and my head would be wrecked by having to make sure it wasn’t sliding off my shoulders and flashing everyone.
Black ribbed bodysuit – this, I love, and you’ll see exactly what it looks like on me from the video. It’s a very wide neckline, but I think it’s a bit different and looks really nice on, especially if you have a nice necklace to show off. Poppers at the bottom too, so major points for that.
Serums – my holy grail serums that I cannot do without. I get the pack of three as it’s better value, and I tend to run out of each one roughly around the same time. This is my third time buying them, I’m obsessed.
Milky oil cleanser – this is a new product that they’ve brought out. I love the Milky Jelly Cleanser, so I knew I needed to try this. Perfect for taking off your make up in a few quick swipes. For a double cleanse, I use the Milky Jelly Cleanser as normal afterwards.
& Other Stories
Trio of rings – I love wearing a mix of thin and chunkier rings, and this trio is perfect for day to day wear. They’re the perfect thin, dainty ring, and the little etchings and ridges in them keep them from being too plain.
Crescent Moon Necklace – this necklace is another really simple piece of jewellery that will go with a lot. It’s a longer chain than I would normally wear, but it’s great to mix it up at times.
Veja V-10 runners – There’s been a hell of a lot of talk about the Veja runners the last few months. I’ve had my eye on them for a while, but wanted to try them on in store before buying. I actually got my pair in white with black detailing, but it looks like & Other Stories is out of that style on their site currently, so I’ve listed the colour black ones in the link.
This is way more clothes than I would normally buy at once (I’m blaming the sickness), but they’re good purchases that I know I’ll wear over and over. Let me know if you have any of the items I bought in the comments below. I’d love to know if any of you have the Veja trainers, and how you’re finding them so far!
