Technically I’ve already told you a little bit about day two, as you’ll have seen in my last post, how and ever we’ll just ignore that little fact and carry on! We move to the Radisson on the Friday as that was the only day available to book. It was a dream! I couldn’t recommend it more to you. Amazing staff, gorgeous venue and it’s without a doubt the biggest party on races week. Don’t expect to sleep while you’re here!
Once we settled into our hotel room, it was time to get to get ready. I freshened up my hair and then curled it into soft waves. To distract from my tired face, I decided to go for bright pink lipstick. I was wearing all black and white, and normally I would wear a red lip with those colours. However I felt like bright pink would look really great with the outfit. Because it was so bright, I kept my eye make up quite muted. Olivia Palermo Ciate nail varnish finished the look.
Lipstick: Rihanna for M.A.C ‘Pleasure Bomb’ (limited edition but Revlon ‘Cherries in the Snow’ is similar)
Eye shadow: M.A.C Amber Lights
Eye shadow: Urban Decay Naked 2
Nail Polish: Olivia Palermo ‘My Haute Vacation Coral’
Mascara: Benefit ‘Roller Lash’
This skirt was a classic ‘Katie last minute buy’, and I love it! It worked really well with the crop and it has pockets, what’s not to love?! The fascinator was actually from my lovely friend Rebecca’s hen party a few months ago. There was loads of great headpieces around and I picked this up thinking nothing else of it. I found it in my room the week before the races and it was perfect! Love Jenny’s suit look too! Definitely going to consider a suit for next year.
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Zara (similar on River Island)
Crop top: Topshop
Fascinator: Claires Accessories
Another evening, another change of outfit! I kept my hair the same and just freshened up my make up as it still worked with the new outfit. I’ve worn this crop before, and it worked well this time with these crazy comfortable trousers.
Trousers: Topshop
Crop Top: Missguided (similar)
Heels: Zara (similar in River Island)
My lovely roomies for the night, Jenny and Jehane.
A little TLC was essential the next morning. Two crazy days and nights, very little sleep, lots of mojitos and prosecco and constantly wearing heels takes it’s toll after a while. First thing we did when we got up was hop into the jacuzzi. It was so relaxing to lie there and just think about what we were going to have for breakfast. Which by the way, was incredible! Hot food, pastries, Nutella, fruit, coffee, Nutella, juice, a little more Nutella… I was in heaven!
That’s all for my Galway adventures this year! Every year it gets better and better and I can’t wait until next the next one. If you haven’t seen Day One of Galway, check it out. Until next year!
