Let me start this by saying,
I haven’t surfed in years, and when I did surf I was useless. However, when the chance to go on a surf trip with work came up, I had to go along. It was a bit of a mental trip and for any of my friends who follow my personal Snapchat, sorry! Total Snapchat overload, but that’s how I do holidays.
The good news is I have a new video live! I think I’m starting to get the hang of it now and I’m really enjoying making the videos more. There’s a lot missing from this video as I didn’t bring my GoPro out at night, which is probably a good thing because it got pretty out of hand!
We stayed at the most insane place, it was basically a series of lodges surrounding an eco pool. Because there was almost 40 of us, we actually filled all of the lodges, effectively meaning that we had the place to ourselves. Literally the dream!
We went surfing, standing up paddle boarding, did yoga, and some people went mountain biking. I stayed behind to make a giant batch of sangria. Priorities. At night, we took over quiet little bars and ended up making the bartenders crowd surf through the bar while while playing the cheesiest, and best music.
I guarantee that I will be going back next year so you’ll have a part two video to look forward to!
x
Wow looks amazing. Unfortuantely, I couldn’t watch the video said it was not allowed in my country??

Hi Anisa, I think it’s because of the song I used, it’s blocked in some countries. I only found that out after I uploaded it! I wish you could see it!

Hi katie, where you just in Ericeira? as a portuguese, I would suggest if you never heard about it, Nazare & Peniche (a couple of KMs north of Ericeira) and the western coast of Portugal below Setubal (Costa Vicentina)…those places are some of the best surfing spots in the world (for an idea of Nazare is all about look for Gareth McNamara videos….)

Hi Katie, were you just in Ericeira? If you like to surf, you should have a look into Nazare & Peniche (both north of Ericeira) and south western coast of Portugal (Costa Vicentina)..,regarded as better places to surf than Ericeira (Ericeira is like the famous spot…not necessarily the best)…Peniche has a Rip Curl surf competition there at a beach called “Supertubos”…and Nazare, well if you want to see what Nazare is all about just search for Gareth McNamara videos…..
