Black & Camel

I’m pretty much obsessed with this colour combination. There’s something about it that looks so chic and effortless. I love the camel coat that I have currently. It’s warm and cosy, but not appropriate for when it gets warmer. So I’m going to have to keep a look out for a more lightweight version.

I say that because I am obsessed with this look that Cara Delevingne wore to her sister Chloe’s wedding a few years ago. Note the lightweight camel coat! It’s an effortless, gorgeous outfit and I want every element of it in my closet now please.

Until all those items miraculously appear in my closet, I will have to make do with the items I already own. It was my lovely friend’s birthday over the weekend so on Friday we all met for drinks. I actually joined the girls after I went to see the show Jersey Boys with my family. If you haven’t been to see it yet, go! It’s an amazing show. And for anyone who thinks they won’t know the words to the songs, if you’ve seen Dirty Dancing at any stage in your life, I can guarantee you’ll be singing along!

Anyway, totally off topic there. As I was in work all day, then the show, then drinks, I needed an outfit that would do triple duty. My black jeans that I pretty much live in and simple black shirt were ideal with the camel coat and camel coloured boots. It’s just a simple outfit that you can throw on and be comfortable in all day in.
