On Saturday I went to a wedding with my cousin Nikki as her plus one. Her beautiful friend Kate was getting married and it was the loveliest day. The hotel had all their Christmas decorations up. There were lights and Christmas trees everywhere, it made the whole experience pretty magical.

I kept my look pretty simple because it was a long day and I didn’t want to wear anything high maintenance or have to be topping up my make up lots. The dress is from Topshop. I adore the colour. It really stands out and looks great with simple gold jewellery like my necklace, which is also from Topshop. The shoes are my beloved Zara heels. They really are so comfortable. I was wearing them for nearly fourteen hours yesterday and I never felt the need to take them off. I paired this with my black Zara coat and blue bag from Sandro. Make up I kept simple and pretty natural. My hair was pretty low maintenance too and it kept the soft wave all day and night. I had a brilliant time with my cousin Nikki. Sometimes you just need a great girls day out to take your mind off things and it was exactly what I needed!

This is the beautiful flower girl Laila. Technically as shes only five months old, she didn’t really have any flower girl duties but she was completely adorable in her little dress with the red sash. I had lots of Laila cuddles so I was very pleased about that!

I had a really brilliant night and met loads of lovely people. The fact that the theme was Christmas made it all the more magical. It was the perfect way to ring in December.
