I find weddings tricky to dress for. As you may have noticed, the colour palette I gravitate towards is all black, all white, or denim. Not exactly wedding appropriate. While the outfit I did end up wearing was predominately black, old habits die hard, the floral detail saves it! This outfit was one I originally had organised for the Galway Races this year. I had a different dress for the wedding but tried it on the week of the wedding and decided I hated it. Typical move by me. On a last minute shopping dash I found an incredible skirt in Maje…. in white. Not a hope I was going to wear white to the wedding! A quick event outfit swap and I was all ready.

I did my hair with heated rollers from Babyliss. I’m going to do a post on that soon as you guys liked my Wavy Wednesday post from a while back. I got these rollers back at Christmas and I’m still getting used to them. I think I’ve finally cracked it though! I was very soppy and sentimental and wore my heart necklace with two hearts joining for the wedding. Can’t decide if it’s over the top or a cute detail! I kept my make up really simple and neutral. A nude lipstick and light nude eye was all I wanted for the day.

Below is some of my beautiful ballet family. Some of you may know that I did ballet for 17 years, only quitting when I moved to France. The beautiful woman to the left of me in the photo is my ballet teacher. She is incredible! I always say she is like Julie Andrews and I’m so lucky to have had her as my ballet mom in my life. I’m so lucky to have had the experiences and opportunities that ballet gave me, preforming around Ireland with incredibly talented orchestras, musicians, actors, singers, dancers and backstage crew. Memories that I’ll treasure forever.
As I have said before, Rebecca, the beautiful bride, is one of my best friends from ballet and a fellow blogger at Peppermint Dolly. I think I am as excited about seeing her professional wedding photos as Rebecca is! I promise when Rebecca posts about her beautiful day, I will post the link for you guys. You will die when you see the wedding! Beautiful doesn’t cover it!
I was so happy to be a small part of the bride and groom’s gorgeous day. Wishing them all the happiness in the world.
