There is a serious amount of fashion name dropping going on in music right now. Specifically in Hip Hop. It kicked off again recently with the obvious, Jay Z with Tom Ford. Ridiculously catchy song it is too! And now A$AP Rocky is getting in on it aswell. In his fourth single, Fashion Killa, he name drops twenty seven different designers, including Isabel Marant, Dior, Versace, Tom Ford, Balmain, Jil Sander and Alexander Wang. Rihanna features in the video so I’m quite surprised that they didn’t include some of her River Island collection in the video. Although the song is about high end designers mostly so maybe that’s why the clothes weren’t used.
