Summer Dreaming

The rain always makes me panic and book a holiday. I hate when the weather is awful when its supposed to be summer. That’s what happens when you live in Ireland though! I’ve spent most of the week wrapped up trying to avoid the rain at all costs and praying that my hat wouldn’t fly off in the wind. Due to my inability to get up on time in the mornings, I only have 3 looks from the last five days. I clearly take sleeping very seriously!

On Monday I wore this lovely cosy outfit. I love this boyfriend jacket I got recently. I think it kind of has an Olsen twin feel to it. Over-sized, black, throw-on-and-go. I love that style of dressing.

Skipping on to Thursday, I spotted this jacket in my closet and realised I hadn’t worn it in about 2 years. The shot doesn’t do it justice but it’s a boxy woven jacket with greens and navy and gold throughout. I received so many compliments on this jacket on Thursday, I really don’t know why I don’t wear it more! It’s a great way to dress up my usual all black ensemble.

This bright jumper is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. It’s just so easy to wear! I paired it with my ripped jeans and threw on my hat even though I was terrified that it was going to blow away. I ended up doing a lot of walking yesterday too, which was a pain in these boots. They’re really comfortable, but when you start doing as much walking as I did yesterday, seriously there was too much, then they really hurt. Which also is not ideal because I am going out tonight and wearing heels… Dilemma! I did have a great night last night though, despite my sore feet. My friend lives really near a stadium in Dublin called Croke Park and One Direction were playing there last night. Now I’m not a One Direction fan, sorry One Directioners, but it was fun to stand on his roof, have a few drinks and watch everyone going into the concert. I have honestly never heard so much high pitched screaming in my life!

So this is probably my last post as a 24 year old. I’m turning 25 on Tuesday and dreading it! I don’t really enjoy birthdays at all! I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I’ll post again when I’m one year older and hopefully wiser!
