Back to Selfies

So you may have noticed the total lack of outfit posts (selfies) over the last few weeks. The first reason was because I was on holiday, and we didn’t have a full length mirror. Now a normal person would just get their friends to take a photo of their outfit. Despite the fact that I have been blogging now for over a year, the thought of getting someone to take a photo of my outfit for this blog for some reason makes me anxious. I always feel I’ll end up looking ridiculous or trying too hard.

The second reason was that we were getting a lot of work done on our house for about two weeks. I came home from Spain to discover that my room had been taken hostage and there was stuff literally everywhere. Clothes, photo frames, furniture, random shit. It was pretty annoying as I’m fairly strict about keeping my room tidy and pretty. So without access to full length mirrors for a week, I hate to think how awful I looked for that week, the selie train was halted.

But now I’m back! My room is clean. The house is done and I’m super happy that things aren’t all over the place anymore. So, rant over, and onto the outfits.

Here is where having another person take the photo would probably come in useful because then you might actually be able to see that this top is dark green…. Anyway, you’ll just have to take my word for it. I hadn’t worn my heeled boots in forever, so I decided to take them for a walk. As you can see my hair is huge! Seriously, my hair was freshly curled and there was a major wave going on. I decided to embrace it rather than brush it out for my normal bed head look.

It was so nice and sunny yesterday, which lead to a much clearer and brighter photo for your guys. I got this sweater a while ago in H&M and regular readers of Okaybee (hi guys!), will know I wear it a lot. It’s one of the brightest things I own and I always like throwing it on when I feel I’ve been wearing too much dark clothing. I paired this with the same ripped jeans that I adore, and my new slip-ons that everyone seems to love. And for good reason, whats not to love about mesh, polka dot, summer slip-ons?

As you can see, my mega waves in the last outfit had toned down to a soft wave yesterday. My hair holds a curl quite well. Even now typing this, there is still a good wave to my hair. For make up, I have MAC Studio Fix on and then a little MAC Full Coverage on top to get rid of my blotchy red face. A little bronzer for a slight contour. I’m wearing MAC Tart & Trendy lipstick which I’ve blogged about before a few times. I wanted to keep the overall vibe summery and fresh.
