So if you follow this blog on the reg, you will know how major this is that I actually got a few pictures of my outfits while I was away in Toronto. Really I only got about two, three if you count the bikini. However, this represents a 100% improvement as normally on holidays I’m too busy stuffing my face or in the sun to remember to take pictures. We’re getting better people.
My main concern when I’m getting on a flight is wearing something comfortable. If my outfit also happens to look cute, then thats just a bonus. On the flight over I wore my lovely stretchy Dr Denims, New Balance, a plain white top, leather jacket and my hat to hide my puffy, sleepy eyes. 5am wake up calls are no fun as you can see from my sleepy airport selfie.
When I touched down in Toronto, those jeans had to go! It was lovely and warm so I changed into these high waisted black shorts and loose shirt. My trusty Birks got their first run of the summer and my sunglasses and Celine finished the look. This was perfect for the trip to Niagara Falls as it was comfortable and my sandals weren’t ruined from the mist from the falls!
Shirt: Zara (similar)
Shorts: American Apparel
Sandals: Birkenstocks
Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Bag: Celine Large Trio
I headed out shopping the next morning in this gorgeous Cos dress I got about a year ago. Not even joking, I was stopped every half hour by someone complimenting me on it! It’s a really pretty, simple dress and perfect for humid city days. I’ve literally searched the internet the last few days for something similar but haven’t come across anything. If anyone finds something similar, let me know so I can link you guys!
That night I changed into a simple cami and jeans. It’s pretty casual in Toronto from what I’ve seen so you don’t need to worry about bringing heels or dressed up clothes with you, unless you plan on going for some fancy dinners!
Cami: Topshop
Jeans: Topshop
I kept things super simple at the cottage. I was too busy eating and drinking to care about how I looked to be honest. I also managed to put on quite a bit of weight/bloat in the few days in Toronto, so pictures weren’t on my agenda! I love this printed bikini that I picked up before I went away. Super comfortable and easy to wear. Birks were my go to sandals at the cottage along with comfortable loose sweaters and pants for the night time. Top tip – run away and hide from horseflies. I’m still struggling with about fifty bites a week later…. not ideal!
Bikini top: River Island
Bikini bottoms: River Island
Sandals: Birkenstocks
Hopefully I manage to keep this up on my next trip! You know me, if there isn’t a full length mirror, I’m a bit lost! Must work on that too. Hope you’re all having a lovely day.
